Aquarium Fun

Friday morning we decided to get off to a rather slow start, after all, the whole purpose of the Familymoon was to enjoy our time together, so what was the rush?  After a morning full of snuggles and giggles, we decided to all go out to a special brunch at Mommy and Daddy's favorite breakfast place, Blue Moon Cafe.  Even during the week there is a bit of a wait, so we had a good time running around Fells Point in the cold.

Daddy even taught Miles how cool it was to put his hands in his pockets.  Miles thought this was the neatest idea ever!

Once it was finally our turn, Miles was super excited when the biscuit we ordered him arrived.  He kept telling us how much it looked like cake.  Needless to say, it was a hit!

After brunch, we were off to the main even of the day... the Baltimore Aquarium.  Miles absolutely loves to watch the fish, but today be had a new favorite... Today he was all about the sharks!

Of course, Miles always loves to play with the bubbles nad I just know that baby will as well!

Apparently Daddy loves to play with the bubbles too...

Miles and Daddy just had so much fun together.  I couldn't help but stand back and watch at how wonderful of relationship Miles and Daddy have created and I cannot wait to see Miles, Baby and Daddy together, running through the aquarium.  It was the first time we have gone as a family during the week, which was so nice as the crowds were down, so Miles could run from tank to tank to tank as much as he wanted "chasing" the fish.

Miles also made friends with the many turtles.

To wrap up our visit to the aquarium, we went to see the dolphin show.

Miles absolutely loved our seats as he could walk around and really see the show well.

About half way through the show, Miles was not terribly bashful to show us that it was time to go home, when he decided to lay down on the steps. With that very subtle clue to go home, we were on our way home for a nap and a wonderful evening full of playtime!

BabyMoon/FamilyMoon

In lieu of the traditional Babymoon, where a couple goes away to enjoy some nice relaxing time before the Baby arrives and lives get hectic, we decided to have a "Familymoon" instead.  As we are not allowed to travel further than an hour from Baltimore, we opted for a stay-cation, full of fun things that we rarely get to do in Baltimore while simply enjoying just being together the 3 of us for an extended period of time.  To make the time a little more special, Daddy and I both took some time off of work, so we were all together as a family of three from Friday morning through Tuesday evening.

33 Weeks

I would love to take a deep breath and relax, but it’s tough to do either of those at 33 weeks. It’s tough to be comfortable at all, since I am beginning to feel overheated on top of my other symptoms.  We are however starting to get super excited to meet baby.
Baby's keeping their eyes open while awake.  Baby's also starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing.  Baby's bones are hardening, and Baby is going through (more) major brain development -- that's one smart baby!

Baby weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. And Baby may grow up to a full inch this week -- amazing.

How far along: 33weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +17.5 lbs
Pregnancy Symptoms: Unable to see my feet, BACK PAIN!!!, lightheadedness, pregnancy brain, sciatic pain, difficulty sleeping, difficulty breathing when walking up a flight of steps, left foot pain, thirsty all the time, Braxton Hicks, increased urination, difficulty eating as I am full after a few bites, swollen ankles and feet, minimal heart burn
Maternity clothes: Yep, and feeling the need to stop wearing some of them as my belly is beginning to poke out the bottom of some of the shirts... Yikes!
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: 5 ish hours a night
Best moment last week: Continuing to get the house and nursery ready for Baby
Movement: Baby is becoming less and less active, but who could blame them... They are running out of space after all!
Food cravings: Pretzel nuggets with cheese
Gender: Sticking with Boy
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks, oh yea

Building a Bed for Baby

Tonight my boys worked very hard to get the crib all ready for Baby.  Miles of course was a big helper for Daddy, helping him the entire time.

Now I just need to clean the bedding and we will be all set for Baby to come home and have not only a bassinet, but also a REAL crib to sleep in!  Thanks Boys!
